Lister Steps celebrated Adult Learners Week by attending the Merseylearn/Merseytravel Adult Learners Day at the Museum of Liverpool. We exhibited our plans for the Hub alongside The Reader Org, Citizens Advice Bureau, North Liverpool Community College, the Public Health Promotion Team, Merseyside Trade Union Education Unit, Dementia Friends, Seafarers UK, Adult Learning Service and many others.
The aim of the day was to introduce visitors to the various ways in which they can learn-through formal routes, initiatives, short courses, clubs and long distance. The day was informative and enjoyable and attracted a large number of visitors who were all keen to hear about our plans for the building.
We even met a number of people who have memories of the building from when it was a library including one lady who became a librarian as a result of using the library as a child!
