The team attended 'Next Steps', a networking and knowledge exchange event run by Hidden Liverpool (http://hiddenliverpool.org.uk/) at Calderstones Mansion House. We met representatives from: Engage Liverpool (http://www.engageliverpool.com/), Heritage Lottery Fund (http://www.hlf.org.uk/Pages/Home.aspx), English Heritage (http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/) the Architectural Heritage Fund (http://www.ahfund.org.uk/), Social Enterprise Network (http://www.sentogether.net/) and Agent Marketing (http://www.agentmarketing.co.uk/). We made contacts with other Merseyside based heritage groups such as: Friends of Anfield Cemetery (http://anfieldcemetery.com/), Toxteth Reservoir (http://www.dingle2000.org.uk/), Save Woolton Baths (http://www.wooltonswimming.btck.co.uk/), The Reader Org (http://www.thereader.org.uk/calderstones.aspx), St Luke's Bombed Out Church (http://www.bombedoutchurch.com/) and Byrne Avenue Baths (http://byrneavenuebaths.org/) and a Manchester based group: Ancoats Dispensary (http://www.ancoatsdispensarytrust.co.uk/). The event was a fantastic opportunity to share ideas and best practice, make supportive links and ask questions which were answered by a specialist panel. A twilight seminar included a very interesting talk on 'Heritage regeneration Nantes, France and Liverpool: A comparison' by Thomas Loussarn, a tour of Calderstones Mansion House by the Reader Org's Heritage Stories Maker Richard MacDonald and a further opportunity to network. The team enjoyed this useful and interesting day.
